100 random things about me!

That was then...this is now.

In true blog fashion I am posting 100 things about me in honor of my 100Th post. I have to laugh because it took me a bit longer to get here than many of my friends who started blogs AFTER me. But, I am trying to find a good balance with REAL world, and BLOGGING world. Anyway, here it goes...

1. I cry VERY easily. Not sad cries, but during many shows, songs, commercials, and when telling someone about my kids. I even cried in the airport recently because I saw a family all crying and saying goodbye to the mother. I anticipate crying at my kids parent teacher conferences next week.

2. As of today I have NO food storage…only what is in my cupboard and in my fridge. That is going to change.

3. I’m totally okay with my barely there bra size I have become since having my kids.

4. I run into things a lot.

5. I spill things a lot.

6. I walk really fast…all the time.

7. I hate to shop unless it is with a friend, sisters, or Paul, and includes good conversation.

8. I have a really bad memory, except for numbers. I can recall people’s phone numbers from twenty years ago.

10. I am a fast learner.

11. I rarely look back. (I should have, what if, if only, etc.)

17. I have a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology.

32. I can’t sing, or play any instrument very well, but have a deep appreciation of it and those who make it.

33. I LOVE running…. truly LOVE it.

95. I love making things and giving them away.

So Happy that you did this it was so fun to read! My Thoughts...

Didn't know you were a little child model-too cute.

I am still laughing at the crying incident at the airport. You have such a tender heart.

I too, love coffee ice cream especially with toffee chips and almonds mixed it- and I am good with it.

Paul is SO lucky to have you. I love him but am still shocked that it took him two years! :)

What a wonderful girl and so great to get to know some details.

I loved the pictures of you in the print ads- so great!

...I also love the dots and use them way to much.

I need to do this list for myself...I think it is such a healthy thing to do.

You really are one of the most amazing people I know. I LOVED reading this list. Just a few comments:
1)I cry all the time, too...even when observing strangers.
2) I love coffee ice cream too and used to hide it in the basement freezer when I was in high school...very bad of me.
3) I think it's awesome that you loved teaching gospel doctrine. That's my biggest fear every time we move to a new ward.

I love your list. These are so fun because of those tid-bits that would rarely ever come up in normal conversation (like your former modeling career! - too cute Kara!) plus it's reassuring to know that other people feel the same way I do about some things. (crying...yes, I've cried during American Idol before, lack of but appreciation for music and art, demanding wife thing, and actually, there are too many similarties to list!) And it's fun when they're different from you. (your loves for surgery and running!) I'm glad you like run on sentences, because that was a really long one! I hope that one day I can say that Gospel Doctrine was my favorite calling. I'm still trying to work through it and hoping it gets easier one day!

Kara--I think it's so great that you anticipate crying at parent teacher conferences next week! I, myself, have cried at parent teacher conferences and I'm the teacher! I just get so emotional when I talk about the students that I love so much! Thanks for sharing so much information about yourself! I LOVED it!! :)

I loved reading about you. We have alot in common.....!!!!!!
Very fun post. I dont know if I could come up with 100 facts about me. I am pretty boring.

I LOVE coffee ice cream also. We can rot together..HEHE

How are you doing? I laughed when I read your post because I felt like there were many things on your list that would be on my list too. The most funny was your comment on high school because that was when I knew you and I would have definately characterized you as one of the most popular. I would have described myself more closely to what you said - that I was friends with popular, but not necessarily popular which was totally 100% fine with me!! And like you, I'm counting down the days until I get to go back to college and start working on more schooling (I was in the process of entering grad school before we moved).
have a great day!

Loved this post and hope to do it for myself someday....do i have to wait until my 100th post? That may never happen at my rate! So sad to hear that you feel there aren't many people who really "get" you? It makes me just want to give you a hug! But I can relate to a lot of the rest of your list....not sending bday cards, not being easily offended, etc. Miss you!

Kara,
I don't know if you will remember me, I met you ages ago. My name is Shally, and I was friends with Paul and his brother Ryan. I found your blog through Mindy's (Blog- surfing, while my husband is on call). ANYWAY-- just wanted to say hi, and to say, I love your blog! It is always a fun read.

I really enjoyed reading this post. I love reading people's 100's. Haven't gotten around to doing it for myself (honestly don't think I could think of 100 things) but thoroughly loved yours. That must have taken some time to compile, but I'm sure your kids will love you for writing it all down.

Annie Ruden said...

Kara, that was so fun to read. That's quite the feat to list 100 things about yourself and keep it interesting! I love you more and more every time I read your entries. You are very unique, I love it.

So I have to say that your list kind of gave me the goosebumps.
There were about three things on that list that that you and I differ. I don't run, but have wanted to be a runner my whole life. I don't have a degree. And I can't say I haven't had body/ weight issues. I can relate to everything else. I even did modeling and commercials as a child and have some crazy pictures to prove it. So when I decide to do my 100 list I can copy yours cause it all applies. ;)

I loved reading about you and finding out what things we have in common (#70, 71 and 73 among others)! What fun modeling pictures you have. I loved that you were able to put in some pictures -- it makes me want to go back and add some to mine.

I also get a bunch done around the house during long phone conversations -- maybe we should call each other sometime! Do you have an ear piece? I can't live without mine.

Oh -- I thought of you this week in another way -- (by the way I use these -- too much). I made your black bean dip last night for a bar-b-que and I made your Summer sherbert fruit treat for my visiting teachees this week! They were both yummy thanks to you!

Okay, this is corny, but I just love you!!! Thanks for sharing--the funny and the personal! It's amazing how different people are, and yet, we all still have so many similitaries, most of which we never vocalize and share!
lena (I cannot figure out my google acount password--gotta work on that!)

I too am unable to say things the way I feel, I use these dots too much also...I procrastinate BAD, I have a bad memory too and it's embarassing...anyways, you are super cute. Next weekend will be a blast. See you then!!

I cry all of the time too.. it's embarrassing. Maybe I'll even cry at Blogapalooza? I hope not.

Great list!

If you or Denae cry, I am IN TROUBLE. My policy (though not by choice) is no one cries alone. It makes relief society messy.

GREAT list! I'm excited to meet you soon!!!

I am so glad I found your blog...it was on Dianes' or Angies' blog.
You are one busy lady. I enjoyed reading your 100 things about you. Your kids are beautiful and you are as beautiful as I remember. Remember our picture with the 5 babies at the blessing day. Those babies are 61/2 years old. That was a fun blessing. Do you enjoy living in AZ? We almost moved their but this practice opened up at the last minute. You and Paul look great. I enjoy your blog. I am just learning how to do it. I have a long way to go. Love, Jennie

Hi, You don't me but I came across your blog after reading Deanns' blog on womens suffrage and Sara Palin. I peeked at your to see who you are, because I know some of the other people posting on her blog. It looks like you and I share similar beliefs. Anyway I'm really glad Deann has a friend like you.

Hiya Kara,

We have to swap car birthing stories.....or you could point me in the direction of where you have written it in your blog.

As crazy as it sounds, I would tell people that it "the birth went really well" (except for the part where I didn't have a midwife, and I was pushing alone in the back seat of the car)...other than that, the baby was sooo beautiful I was in awe!

(ummmm...I'm probably using the dots and "!" in all the wrong places, and have too many running sentences too! oh wellos!)
