I feel special!

Apparently my friend Gabi from "The Gab Blog" fame thinks I am interesting enough to feature on her blog! Who knew?! So if you want some advice for the holidays (I really need to put it into practice) then head on over and let us know what you think!!

P.S. Many of you may have been introduced to Gabi from this post. She was plagiarized like crazy...like this. She's brilliant, funny, and just a regular mom of 4 like me.

You are special. I loved your advice.

I've never seen the You Tube video before. It is cool. Thanks for creating the material Gab.

I love all your insights. Your kids are so lucky to have you! We won't be sending Christmas cards this year, but we will be sending baby announcements a few weeks later!

Oh my goodness, I copied Gabi's post and saved it in my "don't lose this" file. You're a genius and special to boot.

Kara! This post was so fun for me. I love your do-able Christmas ideas...especially the tribute letter.

My mom always tells about the beautiful Santa cookies her grandmother made and I couldn't picture them 'til I saw your post. (Needless to say, that tradition has died in our family...but am glad someone's still carrying on!)

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!

p.s. Never seen the You Tube before...love the Scottish accent!

Great ideas! I just read all about it and am going to steal the letter tribute this year, so thanks! I love Christmas SO much and it's the feeling of giving but not just money to the local charity but I like to get personal. I was just telling CHris last night that I am missing that this year and that we need to find a fmaily in our neighborhood to help. I look forward to implementing traditions when my kids are a little older to understand and enjoy. You're the best!!

why can't I find the post on the Christmas ideas? Are they on her blog or yours? And she has good reason to love your blog. I love how open and honest you are about life. And I love YOU.

What a great post on the Gab Blog. You had so many great ideas. I was telling Rich just tonight that we have never really had a lot of traditions since we always fly home for Christmas and you are right, it's never too late to start.

I think I'm going to copy Sally and Marcie with their red letter idea. I need to get going. It is already the 10th and I feel like it is slipping away.

Thanks for the thoughts and ideas. They were just what I needed!

I didn't realize that you did Santa cookies as well. I loved doing this as a kid and I just got done doing it with my own family and in laws. I love them even though they take so much time. They are so cute.

Your attitude about the holidays seems to be somewhat similar to mine. Keep it simple. Keep it simple. I know my husband always worries that we don't get the kids enough presents and that is his thing. But I know that the few traditions we are are pretty solid and they will remember them too. When you're not around family (like we are now) then it forces you to really keep it small, keep it within your own family and make memories. Thanks for sharing!!
