Reiforcing my dislike...

I came home from the movie very disappointed about this...
...only to see my kids watching this...(Shark Boy and Lava Girl)
...and realizing it's the same guy!!!
...and he bugs me in both.

Totally agree. I hope he grows on me in New Moon. I've always been for Edward anyway.

I KNOW!!!

UGH.

Maybe they will change him in the sequel.

I loved Jacob in the books... I was so sad that he was NOTHING like I pictured him.

That's what I've heard. Still haven't seen it (going tomorrow night).....and I was a diehard Jacob fan.

I agree! At least he is a little cuter in shark boy.

I have not seen the movie, but I didn't realize that Jacob was the kid who played Shark Boy. My boys DVR's it the other day and I watched a few bits. I think it is one creepy show. Just with that knowledge, I am sure I'll never look at Jacob the same.

Great job realizing it was the same actor!

Maybe it is just me... but I thought he was so cute. I really liked him. He looks like the native americans do nowdays.

I agree! I really liked the movie but both Edward and Jacob bugged me. In fact a lot of the characters bugged me. They all look like the were in costume.

He also plays in Cheaper by the Dozen Two and is actually a little cutie in that movie. I showed my friend your blog this weekend. She couldn't help but to think she has met you before. Then it hit her....she and her husband had dinner with you and your hubby with Sam and Holly in Tuscon. It was when they came down for the Fiesta Bowl. Their names are Brent and Kim Chapman. We were supposed to go with them but ended up coming in the next day due to work. They picked us up from the airport. If we had gone a day earlier I bet we would have went and we would have met! I thought that was pretty crazy. It is such a small world. Anyway, I am glad I met ya through Angie B. and blogging. It has been a lot of fun. Oh, and I checked out the sites you sent me for sharing time. I found a fun puppet show idea. Our class did it and it turned out great. So, thanks for your help!

I am on the fence. I think he will be better with short hair!

Yes I was happy that he didn't have much of a part in the movie. I liked the movie overall though, overlooking a little "cheese."

I was really hoping his super long, super thick hair would at least be in a ponytail.

His nose is all wrong (my SIL's quote, funny), but I still thought he was a good pick!! :) I do hear he looks better with short hair, but I guess they were going for more of an authentic look?!? He's cute though (in a Highschool sort of way). I am totally a Jacob fan, sorry.

Not to mention that Edward was super wimpy in the movie, I need more muscle. Maybe he'll go do some lifting between movies... hehe... :)

The wig was ridiculous.

Kara, I discoverred a fabulous secret. Picasa. It is a free photo editing website. I am able to manually edit my photos and make cute collages. Check it out. I believe all of your blog pictures automatically upload to picasa anyway. Good luck. I love your pictures too. Especially your profile pic. Kristie

You will be proud to know that I read all the books and went to see the movie. Now I am officially in the Twilight club!
It's funny that I avoided it for so long. When in the end I LOVED them. I took me a week to get through them. They were like drinking water...easy to down and a necessity...for that week! But I have to say that I am glad that it's over. I can't imagine waiting a year for a book to come out.
And I am actually ok with Jacob. Maybe because I was always a fan of team Edward.. Ok that just solidified my place as a nerd right?
Oh well!

While reading the books, I was always a Jacob fan...and after seeing the movie...I was totally disappointed!!! He sooo did not fit the part for me! In my opinion, neither did Edward. He was supposed to be so PERFECT and "wow" everybody...but to me, in the movie he was such a DORK!! Hopefully they'll both grow on me! :)

That is Hah-larious!! I had no idea that was him. I love your post. And Amen sister!!! I don't know what it is about him...actually, I do know part of the problem is his hair, but either way: no thank you.

Hey Kara! I just read your post on the Gab blog! It was awesome, and soooooooo thorough! I loved it. Anyway, I want to know what house you drive up to that has a radio station attached to it! I really need to try to get into the holiday spirit a little more, and I would love to check out this house! Lemme know!

Kara, I was a Jacob fan after reading the books (not that I was taking sides.. I just liked his character) and I was also very disappointed in who they cast for Jacob. Oh well. He better do some growing for the next movie, right?
