Meet Mary Grace!!

Image quality on this is really bad. It was the best I could do!

I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!! This is the first picture I have seen of my soon to be new niece Mary Grace. My sister Shauna and her husband Brian will be going to Taiwan to pick her up in a few months. I cannot describe the time, effort, and love that has gone into the process of joining Mary Grace to their family. I have said over and over to many people that my sister and her husband are SAINTS! I'm not kidding either. I am pretty sure they have a path already paved straight to the pearly gates. Perhaps someday I will have the time to tell the whole story, but let's just say that this is almost three years in the making. I could not be more thrilled! I just know she and Nora are going to be the best of buddies. CONGRATS SHAUNA, BRIAN AND BOYS! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!

Kara, Mary Grace is beautiful !How exciting for your sister! We have adopted kids in our extended family from Russia and it always amazes me how those kids fit right in! They were absolutely meant to be in our family! I'm sure you will see the same thing. By the way, I love the new do...I have always loved your hair...You have always had great style and this proves it yet again!

How exciting Kara! I would love to know the full story someday. I hope the rest of the process goes well.

BTW-I am loving the new hair! Your hair was actually a lot like that when I first met you and I thought you were so pretty. Way to be brave. I think it totally paid off!

She looks like a sweetheart! Can't wait for it all to really happen. Is the whole story documented somewhere?

What a happy ending to such a long and I'm sure at times painful journey. My little brother is serving a mission in Taiwan right now and he writes how much he loves the people each and every week. What a blessing she will be to them, and they to her!

She is so cute! I love hearing about wonderful people like your sister and brother-in-law that are willing to open their hearts like this. Mary Grace is one lucky little girl! An old friend of mine from work just brought home their little girl from China last month. I love reading their blog about it because it makes me so happy to see what a difference they've already made in her life. Congratulations to your family. That is a long road to adoption, but well worth it!
