After President Hinckley finished with the sustaining of the officers of the church during the Saturday morning session, Elder Eyring had moved to his new seat on the stand. Unfortunately, they didn't show this on TV, but when President Hinckley turned around, he stood there for a moment looking at Elder Eyring, then picked up his cane and "knighted" him on his shoulder and head.

This is AWESOME! It proves that there'll be humor in the spirit world, don't you think?!
So, funny! Glad you shared this.
I remember hearing everyone chuckle and wondered what had happened. Thanks for the info. Good old Gordo..
Ha ha ha! He's the coolest person in the world. That's funny...thanks for sharing.
I was wondering why they were all laughing, I remember him doing that to someone else too...who???...hmm... I can't remember. But yes, I love Pres. Hinckley's sense of humor.

I heard the laughter and was wondering what had happened that was so funny. Thanks for sharing...
I too got this email...Loved it.
Thanks for this, we heard the laughter but didn't know what people where laughing about. We are so excited because for some reason, our Stake Conference this Sunday is at the Conference Center and Pres. Hinckley will be presiding and speaking along with Neil L. Andersen and Pres. Boyd K. Packer. We're a little nerveous about managing our kids there but are so excited for the oppurtunity. The kids are really looking forward to it!

Kara I saw your link on the Zaharis'blog and really enjoyed reading some of your entries. I feel like we have a lot in common. How do you know Mike and Amy?

I love this!! How did you know? The look on Eyring's face says it all. Classic.
