Well, I am totally behind on blogging, blog reading, cleaning, organizing, planning, laundry, young women's, my kids lives, calling loved ones, and pretty much everything in my life! I'm not joking either, I'm in a MAJOR rut. I just read Shawni's latest post, and she put it SO well. I feel like everything is slipping through my fingers like sand.
Anywho...if I haven't visited your blog recently I'm sorry. I am so behind that I may just have to wait a while and pick up again when I'm more on top of it. Don't give up on me. Once I get my Hawaii pictures I will post them. We had such a great time...better than I even expected. Paul and I have so much fun together and it is so comfortable just hanging out together. When we are home I seriously never feel like we EVER get a real conversation in. Of course I thought I would be refreshed and rejuvenated enough to come home and be so efficient, loving, patient, yadda yadda yadda! Pretty much the opposite has happened. I don't know what's wrong with me. So, off I go to try to get something productive done.

This just shows you have good perspective on what is important (getting your life together) and what isn't (being on top of blogging). Thanks for the good example!
I am so with you girl. It's ok to take a break from blogging. It will still be here when you get around to it. Can't wait to see Hawaii pics!
Kara,
You are so amazing. I can't even believe you find time to read with four little ones. You are a wonderful mom, a great wife and a very special person. Take a deep breath, you will be fine!
It is so hard to come back to "realityland" after a great trip. I feel that way after my girls weekends. Glad you had a great time on your trip. I would love to go to Hawaii with my man. Someday when the kiddies are older I guess :) Hope you are feeling better soon. Cant wait to see the pictures.
Re entry into regular life is hard. It always takes me a week at least to get back to real life. And the problem is I think to myself why is this so hard and why do I don't want to do all my old stuff when I've had a week of relaxation and fun? Of course I am happy to see the kids, but not so happy to do all the laundry.
It's so hard recovering from vacation! I love reading your cute blog, and it doesn't matter if you post a lot or little. I agree, you should just do what's good for you and your family at the time.
Kara- Glad you and Paul had a great trip and some good adult conversation. I rarely think I come back rejuvinated either- usually overwhelmed to back in reality.
Hang in there.
OH give yourself a break. you have no obligation to stay plugged into blog land. it sounds like you have a life these days - unlike me who reads and blogs daily.
Don't feel pressure to blog! It's for you! It's your journal & relaxation and it shouldn't be just one more stress on your plate. I love your fun blog & personality and we'll all be here when you get things under control on the home front. I think vacation DOES make you move slower.
Kara--the same thing happened this summer when we got home from Europe. I thought I would come home rested and ready to go and the first week or so was awful--I was off, the kids were off. Luckily it didn't last too long ;-) Let me know if I can do anything to help!
I admire your blogging! I always have trouble thinking of stuff to blog about, and your blog inspires me. Everyone goes through blogging lull's. You'll be back, you just need Hawaii off the brain, which is a hard thing to do.
Kara, you just ran a marathon, and went on a big vacation, so give yourself a little break. You are amazing and always able to pull things off, so I know you'll be fine. Just leave the blogging for later. I finally had to limit myself on blog checking because I would get so behind in every other aspect of my life!
Kara, you always have such interesting posts, I'm impressed with how behind you are on things how you still find the time to comment on my blog! You're great!
I thought I would stop by, and say hello! I am wondring if it is in the air around here. I was in a rut too. Finally yesterday it started to lift. I too felt like I was so behind. Maybe it is the nice Arizona weather that is doing it to us! hee hee! :)
hey kara! just wanted to say that i feel the same way, and don't even have 4 kids! but i feel like w/ work, being pregnant, my calling (counselor in stake R.S.), supporting my husband who is working fulltime and in evening mba classes, obsessing over baby prep stuff and just life in general keeps me so busy i can barely think straight! i love and miss you!
