Okay...so I guess I'll explain first. Here at our homestead we have a (very) informal contest at Christmas time. After gathering all the Christmas cards/pictures and posting them on our wall for all to see throughout the season, we choose our favorite of the year. We have always just done this amongst ourselves and announced the winner to no one. I decided that this year we are starting a new tradition. We will post the winner here, and that winner will receive a prize. I thought it would be fun for the kids to participate and help decide what the prize will be. Then we can package it up and mail it off if needs be.
It was no easy task to pick a winner this year as there were so many great cards, but the winner became clear...especially when we asked the kids. So, without further adieu...(drum roll)...the winner is:

Isn't it AMAZING?! I love how fun and creative it is. I'm sure their kids will never forget it and how "COOL" their parents were for dressing them up like rock stars. My kids were "way jealous". I did get permission from them to post the card online, and I also want to give credit to their talented photographer. Her name is Nicole Mason, and blogs HERE. That is a fun card. Fun idea you started with the prize. Next year you will probably get a million Christmas cards cause everyone will want a prize.

I've discovered the same thing with my own children this past year.
When I work WITH them we all complete the work and are happy. When I assign chores.....not the same results. Good reminder. Thanks

That is the best card I have ever seen. The tiny girl with the crazy hair and the boy with the make-up are priceless. They deserve to win every year with this card.

Kara I forgot that we have a talented neighbor across the street (for stitches)! Thank you though. This card is super cute. Nicole is a friend, though we haven't seen her in awhile. I went to school with her husband Brian. She is talented too. It seems that this Mesa area is the "cute Christmas card" capitol - really!!
